EMT Kona Week 2010-underpants run

Special event

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii: If you know how to finish "I see England, I see France ..." then you know what to wear to the annual 1.5-mile Underpants Run on Thursday, a casual prelude to the ever-so-serious (but also underdressed) Ironman World Championship two days later. A fundraiser for local charities, the event began in 1997 to poke fun at the Speedo-clad triathletes wandering through town before the big race.

EMT Kona Week 2010: The best photos from today's Ironman Kona underpants run

Every year hundreds of fit and buff triathletes get together at the crack of down (OK, so maybe 8:00 a.m. is not the quite so early) to run the annual Kona underpants run.

But just so you don't think it is all about showing off tan, fit and buff bodies..we can happily report that the run raises money for charity.
Of course this year was no different...so without any further delay here are the 5 best photos from this morning's Kona Underpants run.
